We had a little 6 year old girl stay with us for the weekend, a few weeks ago. Its called "Respite" and its essentially a scheduled break for the current foster parents of children in foster care. It was a great. We got some first hand experience on what it was like exactly to open your heart and home to a mini-stranger. I got schooled on how to do her hair, we played Uno, read books, watched movies and laughed ALOT.
