Home Study
We have submitted our application for a home study! Well to be honest we turned it in the 6th. There are several pieces to a home study, and we are not sure of all the details, but we were told the whole process can take 6 months. We do know we will have a safety inspection of our home, we will have background checks, physicals, we will be interviewed, and our references will be interviewed. Ryan had his physical Wednesday so we can now turn that paper work in too. A book I read explained that essentially as perspective adoption parents we are 'pregnant' awaiting our child; arrival time unknown. The anticipation is exciting, We are expecting a child, We just don't know when or how!

Too bad they don't require more from people who decide to have a child the traditional way. Maybe then we would have less bum parents who are unable too or don't care to take good care of the children they have.
