Since Ryan and I are going on a Mission Trip to Peru this June, I am using 2 weeks of vacation time, leaving me with very LITTLE vacation time after we return. With the huge possibility of being placed with a child when we return, I've kinda been fretting about it. My work offers adoption leave, but the adoption has to be finalized; in our situation that could be up to 6 months after the child is placed with us. So of course I have been praying here and there about it when the lump rises in my throat.
So earlier this week I overheard a lady talking in the café at work about how she took comp time instead of pay for overtime she worked. Good to know! So I tucked it away in my brain since the last time we had overtime in our department it was like 6 months ago, and before that It had never before occurred. I wasn't holding my breath. But when I get back to my desk there is an email from my manager that they are offering OT for the next couples weeks; and YES it can be taken as comp time. insert grin :)
