HomeStudy Update

I know you are all dying to know how the Homestudy went. Well, Tuesday when we got home from work, we met with our caseworker. She was very nice, it was kinda like an interview; she asked us questions where we needed to think back and provide examples of when we felt _______ (fill in the blank), and how we delt with it, etc. She also walked around and checked off a few things we have already done for the safety audit, and answered questions we had about how paticular the inspection was going to be. The good news is we don't have to get a home phone which seemed implied by the saftey checklist, we also do not need to lock all the cleaning chemicals in my bathroom, as previously thought, and we don't need to build an additonal gate to the patio steps off the deck. Amen.

Anyway, she is going to come back 2 more times, to complete the individual interviews. The next visit being the 27th. Before then, we need to go to the police department and get finger printed and our background check ran. We also need to call the fire department and have them do a fire safety inspection, and then we need to complete a 4 page checklist form of desirable characteristics we are willing to consider in our child. :)
