Well geesh where did the time go? Football is over now, They
won the playoff game and championship game too! Halloween has come and gone.
First ever trick or treat for Obi and Me, and probably the last for Davontae.
He commented he thought maybe he was too old, and later I found out one of his
good friends said he wasn’t going because he was too old.
Basketball practice started last week D is totally into it,
and loves playing ball with his friends from school. This is quite the
experience, we are about 5-10 years younger than all the other parents. Jumping
right in with an 11 year old can leave you feeling out of the loop! Just last
week I ran into one of my high school cheerleading coaches who had a son on the
5th grade team. She asked me if I had a nephew playing J
I’ve watched a brain load of Disney TV and been beat during
more than my share of Football, basketball and Halo video games. We lack the
‘kids within walking distance’ thing he is used to, so we fill in as best as we
can until we can make connections with his friends parents. Obi; where do I
even start. He can now grab things from off the counter because if he backs up
enough he can see it! Its fun seeing him learn new things and be able to point
out animals in a book and make their sounds for the first time. I’ve been
trying to get him to kiss me, and finally Tuesday, open mouth and all, he
continually planted kiss after kiss after kiss.
