We went on a visit to Cleveland. I can’t stress what a drive
of faith this was for us. Imagine it! Its nuts, and the thought of it
negatively impacting D somehow was like legitimately at the forefront of our
minds and the fear could have been enough to keep us home. I think its really
easy to get caught up in all that could go wrong. Actually I know that in my
life, Satan would like nothing more than for me to focus on what could go
wrong.
So we made plans, and we drove. We met at his previous
foster moms house and we picked up pizza on our way. His oldest brother also
came along with his bio mom, a lunch lady from his previous school, a few of
his foster moms grandkids, and his adoption caseworker. It was a long day since
it’s 3 hours’ drive there and back. But it was a good day for all of us, we
ate, we chatted while D played and then we went home.
We stepped out, we got uncomfortable, and God moved the day
I got to hug my son’s mom.
You're so beautiful. Inside and out!
