I realized it doesn't really matter if you have no intentions on keeping child and are genuinely happy that they are returning to a family members care... it still really does hurt. We easily absorbed him into our family and every once in a while bring up funny things he would say.
Being a foster parent is tough, it requires a super human quality I do not have on my own. So while our house is now pretty quiet these days (Although Obi does squeal rather loudly) we are praying we don't have to do that again, praying the next one is for keeps. :)
