We drove up Friday afternoon, and at 4pm was sitting on his
foster moms couch with his caseworker, waiting for Tae to come down the stairs.
Hard to explain, but life changing. Just before we got there, Ryan playfully pinched
me on the arm and said ‘ This is for Real!’
We had a great time, raced some go-carts, climbed a rock
wall, did some bumper cars. We came back the next day and took him to breakfast
and to the movies. We saw the new Captain America movie, his favorite super hero is the Falcon, unfortunately finding this particular super hero figurine is terribly difficult and will probably have to buy online. This was just a first impression, but we think he will be a
great fit. Our next visit will be at our house we think, so he can get a better idea of what it might be like to come stay with us.
In the mean time, at least for the next day or so, we are
living in an empty house. Obi seems to enjoy the wide open spaces though! Want
to help move some stuff. We start the ‘GREAT UNLOAD’ at 9:30-10am this
Thursday at our new place.
