We had our Adoption Presentation on Friday. It was a long
but great day. The meeting only lasted two hours, but add in 5 hours of driving
it was tiresome and I wasn't even driving!
We sat around a big table with his caseworker, her boss, and
his guardian ad litem (a court appointed lawyer to represent his best
interests) and our caseworker on the phone. We were read a summary of his life,
asked questions, signed some papers, and went home with a stack of folders
containing all they have on him. Now they will setup a time for us to drive up
again and meet him and his foster mom at their house. At that point we will
visit several more times, he will even come here for the weekend before moving
for good in June.
In the meantime we will be moving April 16th-18th,
I will begin working from home part time May 5th and Obi turns 1 May
8th. Looking forward to it all!!
